Scouts and guides activities(2009-10)

Dwitya Sopan camp is being organized from 01.08.2008 to 03.08.08 in the vidyalaya.
Students of 21 vidyalayas are participating. 127 scouts and 111 guides alongwith 5 trainers are attending the camp.

| Kendriya Vidyalayas are equally strong in their scout and guide activities. As in the case of games and sports, in the scout and guide movement too, the KV has been accorded the status of a State by the Bharat Scouts and Guides Organisation to whom it is affiliated since 1976. |
| This activity helps inculcate moral, social and democratic values besides developing the spirit of cooperation and community living on the one hand and the qualities of leadership and enterprise on the other. |

| At the apex level, the KV State Association of Bharat Scouts and Guides has as its President the Chairman of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The Vice Chairman of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is Vice-President, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Commissioner is the State Chief Commissioner. |

The KV State has a fine band of 9 Leader Trainers (Scouts), 11 Leader Trainers (Guides), 12 Asstt. Leader Trainers (Guides) and 48 Asstt. Leader Trainers (Scouts), who are making untiring efforts to promote this movement further to achieve higher targets. |
KVS Participation in PM Shield Comitetion
For the first time Prime Minister's Shield was awarded to KV Ujjain (MP) and KV, BSF, Panbari (Assam) on 12th January, 2006 by Hon'ble Shri Oscar Fernandes, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Scouts, Government of India. Approx. 200 units have registered for PM Shield competition - 2007. |
Rashtrapati Scouts & Guides Award
538 Scouts & 194 Guides qualified Rashtrapati Award for the year 2005 from KVS |
Golden Arrow Award for Cobs and Bulbuls
200 Cobs and Bulbuls from KVS participated in Golden Arrow Award rally 2005 held at State Training Center, Nizamuddin on 12th January, 2006 organized by National Head Quarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi |
National Adventure Programmes
938 Scouts and Guides from KVS participated in National Adventure Programmes conducted by NAI of BS&G, Pachmarih during 2005-2006. |
KV No. 1 RCF participation in International events
1. 08 Scouts & Guides from KVS participated in BIMP-EAGA urban scout jamboree-2006 which has held at Davao city , Philippines from 26th May to 2nd June 2006.
2. 02 Guides from KVS are going to participate in Sangam International event from 10th to 19th June 2007 at Sangam World Center, Pune. |
